A redundant distribution shed would not appear to offer many possibilities to create a modern, highly sustainable working environment but that is what we have achieved.

The building is cut in half, with the retained portion used to accommodate a merchandising laboratory. The existing high load floor slab is reused to provide the foundations for a highly sustainable, passively ventilated, courtyard office development.

Within the courtyard, meeting rooms and a multi purpose conferencing venue will encourage effective communication and create a social hub at the heart of the development.

An elevated café is sheltered beneath a sculptural, air inflated roof that provides a stimulating environment for relaxing and informal meetings.
