Rigorous studies identified innovative ways of designing the store whilst achieving all the requirements set by this retail giant. 30,000m2 of retail combines with 240 new homes on just 2Ha.

All occupants benefit from carbon neutral heating and power generated from the biomass CHP plant. The rooftop of the IKEA store provides a secure garden square for the residents to enjoy.

Equal thought was given to providing the local community with enhanced public spaces. A new plaza teeming with restaurants and independent retailers will improve the footfall to the High Street.
