The Greenwich and Bexley Hospice is being extended by VolkerFitzpatrick through funding provided by the construction charity CRASH. Black Architecture are helping to provide detailed designs for the dining space and courtyard garden.
The hospice has received consent for the proposals to create a new glazed dining space that opens up onto a remodelled courtyard garden. The team now assembled are working closely with the main contractor, supply chain and manufacturers supporting CRASH to get the space built. Ongoing meetings with the client ensure the proposals are responding to the needs of the residents and that the design is flexible enough to adapt to the available budget.
Opening up of the existing building has already happened to de-risk the project and detailed drawings issued in readiness for construction to start on site.
