Detailed planning consent granted/pending for phase 2 of the 400 unit masterplan and outline proposals submitted for phases 3 and 4 of the Watford Borough Council and Watford Community Housing joint venture scheme.
Following the successful delivery of 100% affordable housing on phase 1 of the Croxley View site, Black Architecture have been re-commissioned to design phase 2 of the project that will provide a mix of low level affordable and social rent homes, and a taller private residential apartment block. The masterplan has evolved since the practice was appointed in 2015 and now includes the northern portion of the site that will deliver a further 200 mixed tenure homes.
Our design team includes Etude who have advised on the near passive house standards that have been adopted to allow the proposals to become 100% electric in advance of changing UK energy policy.
