New social housing being developed by local authorities is beginning to address longer term needs, but what about the current crisis? Temporary accommodation that Black are designing is seeking to bridge this gap.
Temporary accommodation for individuals has been constructed for Hart Homes and schemes for Three Rivers District Council and Watford Borough Council have received planning consents, it total providing 58 new beds in south Hertfordshire. All projects are designed to provide dual aspect living to enhance the wellbeing of those who are often moving out of low grade bed and breakfast accommodation.
Elsewhere in London work to support Busses for Homeless is gaining momentum and the practice are volunteering services at a hostel in Canning Town to deliver a new lounge area through the construction sector charity CRASH.
